Danny Mai, Executive Chef
Influenced by his mother and grandmother to cook (whose secret recipe for a stew is 7 - Up), Danny was born in Vietnam and moved to the US when he was 14 years old. He began his cooking career at Santa Fe Mary's in 1982.
This Vietnamese chef can cook French, Italian and Asian Fusion cuisines. He loves working with local farmers and artisans for the meals he prepare. His favorite TV show is " Made in Spain." He worked in Tolay in from 2006 - 2008 as Executive Sous Chef and decided to come back when the opportunity presented itself to become the Executive Chef. He challenges himself everyday to think outside of the box.
Outside of cooking, he is a mean tennis player and his favorite sports team is the LA Lakers. He lives in Petaluma with his wife and 2 kids.
